First, we hope this finds you all healthy and safe. This has been so challenging for so many and we want you to know that we are thinking of all of you and doing our best to get back to a place where we can continue to serve you as we have these past 30 years.
That said, we have spent literal HOURS in virtual discussions to try to plan, rearrange and reconfigure our shop’s work area and systems, but we simply cannot find a way to open Flowers by the Station for Mother’s Day and keep our employee family safe and be sure that we don’t play a role in spreading the virus to any of our customers. Our being open causing even one person to get sick would devastate us!
We greatly miss our customers; sharing their joys, their milestones and their caring gestures to others and supporting them through a time we’ve never had to go through together. We are especially missing being there for all of you at this time of year with all the endearing Moms we know and those of you who love them.
Although this experience is so difficult on many levels, it is just not worth endangering our flower shop family and our customers. We would LOVE to be open but we simply cannot put business ahead of how much we care about our employees, customers and flower recipients.
The good news is that as we’ve worked through all the MANY ways we will have to make changes going forward, we are beginning to see a very workable plan which we feel we can implement over the next few weeks. Stay tuned for the HAPPY DAY we will be thrilled to announce our re-opening!
In the meantime, please stay safe….we all send our best wishes for a happy spring to everyone…see you soon!
